Meet The Team | Esther — Red Door Recruitment

Welcome to this month’s Meet the Team Q&A!

This month we spoke to Esther, one of the Recruitment Consultants here at Red Door! She joined us in March this year, and before worked in Luxury Travel and Media Marketing.

What did you do before Red Door?

I worked for a luxury travel company for almost 4 years designing and booking tailormade itineraries to one of my favourite countries, New Zealand!

What’s the best part of your job?

I love getting to know people and the majority of my day involves really understanding what a client wants from a candidate and what a candidate wants to do in their next role. Finding the right person for a company and finding the right position for someone is so important so it’s so rewarding when the two marry up!

Emails or meeting?

A meeting! It’s so much nicer to speak face-to-face (or nowadays over Zoom) so that you can put a face to a name and you’re less likely to misinterpret things.

What’s your favourite thing to do at the weekend?

I like going for walks (weather permitted), a nice pub lunch and watching live music.

What do you do to turn things around when you’re having a bad day?

I find it really helpful to talk to somebody about what’s happened or how I am feeling. The majority of the time someone might have been through something similar or can offer a different perspective.
