Receptionist - 6 Month FTC | St Albans | Up to £28.5k

A lovely opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join a well-established company based in St Albans. This is a 6-month fixed term contract role to cover leave.

Our client, experts in their field, are a modern and innovative professional services company.

The successful candidate will provide reception support within their busy St Albans office; with significant client interaction, you will be responsible for providing a personable and efficient service over the phone and face to face.


What’s in it for you?

·         Salary: Up to £28.5k depending on experience (FTE)

·         Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, office based

Key responsibilities:

·         Warmly welcoming visitor

·         Receiving and appropriately directly telephone calls and taking clear, accurate messages

·         Monitor emails in the inbox ensuring that they are dealt with accurately and efficiently.

·         Booking couriers and taxis as required.

·         Receive incoming mail and holding outgoing mail for collection.

·         Oversee the office petty cash including maintenance of records and liaison with accounts.

·         Manage meeting room bookings, with discretion to switch rooms as required to maximise availability

·         In the absence of the facilities assistant regularly check the stationary, catering and other consumable supplied and reorder as required.

·         Work alongside other members of the Operations and Facilities team to ensure that the team provide consistent, excellent service across all offices and to all visitors.

·         Deal with any complaints received in line with the Firm’s procedure.

·         Demonstratable experience of providing a high level of client care, including for difficult individuals or those who are experiencing difficulties.

·         Able to pitch in and work as part of a wider team.

·         Confidentiality and discretion.

·         Good IT skills.
