Concrete & Aggregate Coordinator | Cambridge | Up to £40k

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Concrete & Aggregate Coordinator to join a well-established and expanding construction company based in Cambridge.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality distribution service to customers. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating daily operations, ensuring customer requirements are met while maximising fleet utilisation and maintaining the highest levels of efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

·         Contributing to the success of the team and company by providing the best offer for customers, enhancing their experience

·         Effectively plan and schedule the programme of works, ensuring timely delivery of orders against agreed timeframes

·         Managing the day-to-day deliveries and drivers to ensure they are fully aware of where and who to go to, with any issues communicated

·         Monitoring real time progress of scheduled orders allowing you to identify potential problem areas and proactively resolve them effectively

·         Providing customers with progress information of deliveries, in particular immediate notification of late loads

·         Promoting the company as a respected supplier of materials into the surrounding areas

What the employer is looking for:

·         Experience in a similar logistics role within a concrete company is essential

·         A knowledge of building materials products is desirable

·         Thrives in a busy environment where key decisions are made quickly with good communication

·         High level of customer service, outgoing and a good communicator

·         Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

·         Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

·         A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges effectively

·         Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices is advantageous
