Warehouse Manager | Potters Bar | Up to £45k

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager in Potters Bar to lead the day-to-day operation of a warehouse.

This role is critical to ensuring efficient goods-in, storage, dispatch, stock accuracy, and strong team performance.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on warehouse experience, proven leadership capability, and the ability to balance both operational detail and big-picture planning.

Key Responsibilities;

 Warehouse Operations & Workflow Management

·         Ensure all good out and goods in are processed in a timely and efficient manner.

·         Maintain efficient storage systems and ensure optimal warehouse space utilisation.

·         Carry out daily bin stock counts and support ongoing stock accuracy initiatives.

·         Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised, and compliant with layout and housekeeping standards.

Team Leadership & Resource Planning

·         Assign daily tasks to warehouse operatives and ensure balanced workload distribution.

·         Monitor team productivity and performance, supporting continuous improvement.

·         Plan staffing levels to meet operational demand, including holiday cover and agency labour when required.

·         Anticipate surges in demand such as peak seasons.

Stock Control & Accuracy

·         Identify and address stock discrepancies promptly.

·         Ensure correct stock rotation and logical organisation of all storage areas.

Health & Safety Compliance

·         Ensure all H&S requirements are met, including daily, weekly, and monthly checks.

·         Promote a safe working environment and escalate any risks or hazards.

Process Improvement & Efficiency

·         Review and improve warehouse processes to eliminate inefficiencies.

·         Address errors with the staff member responsible, using root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

·         Proven leadership experience managing warehouse teams.

·         Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience.

·         Ability to zoom out and manage the big picture while staying on top of operational detail.

·         Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

·         Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.

·         Willingness to pitch in and work as part of the team when required.
