Junior Accountant | St Albans | Up to £26k

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Junior Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice in St Albans.

They need an ambitious individual who is looking to progress through an accountancy qualification and take on more responsibility as they progress!

It is a family run firm offering full accounting, taxation and payroll solutions to a wide range of clients.  They pride themselves on providing a professional, efficient and friendly service, tailored to their clients’ individual needs. 

What’s in it for you

·         Salary: Up to £26k

·         Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5pm

·         Hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 days at home after probation

Key responsibilities:

·         Bookkeeping

·         VAT Returns

·         Statutory Accounts

·         Corporation Tax Returns

·         Personal Tax Returns

·         Various other support tasks such as contacting HMRC

What they are looking for:

·         5 4-9 grade GCSEs (or equivalent) including mathematics

·         3 A-C grade A-levels (or equivalent)

·         Ideally university educated, 2.2 or above

·         Competent use of Excel and Word

·         Some accounts focused knowledge or experience to build on
