You will join a successful, high energy team in an interesting role where you will be building relationships and working closely with the sales department. You will be contacting key stakeholders to seek for new opportunities and for information which may help the sales team to win business.

This is an interesting role for candidates with a proven track record within sales or Business Development who love being client facing and building relationships.  You will also have the opportunity to go out and meet clients face to face.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track existing projects through the tender chain to order

  • Seek new early stages business opportunities

  • Establish & communicate supply chain information on construction projects throughout the UK

  • Build relationships and rapport with construction companies, quantity surveyors, developers & contractors throughout the UK

  • Help provide project intelligence and information to the customer base

  • Attend internal and external networking events and seminars

  • Work closely with and support the sales departments

  • Research and develop business within new markets and new customer bases

 What the employer is looking for:

  • Experience in developing new business and relationships is desirable

  • IT Literate and competent user of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

  • Personal attributes: self-motivated, driven, methodical, numerate, organised, punctual, assertive, professional, personable, numerate and resourceful

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent time management, multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines set

  • Ability to use own initiative

  • Excellent business sense, commercial awareness and negotiation skills
