We are looking for a part-time Marketing and Business Development Executive to provide local support for our active and dynamic client based in their St Albans office.

This successful office is an important area for business growth and the person who would best fit into this role is someone who is passionate about the business, has good knowledge of the local area and wants to drive marketing and business development forwards.

You will work alongside four general practice partners and support our wider general practice team in the office, helping them identify potential clients and providing the platform for them to develop business relationships through e-marketing, local profile raising, seminars and networking events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with BD & Marketing colleagues, office colleagues and local office partners to produce a marketing plan

  • Develop and implement marketing plans to support the firm wide BD & Marketing plan

  • Develop marketing collateral needed to support local business development activity

  • Develop, drive, project-manage and evaluate marketing campaigns

  • Lead, attend and/or support monthly office marketing and business development meetings

  • Monitor competitor activity in the local area

  • Use sector expertise and insights to position the firm appropriately within the local market

  • Work with partners and Marketing Manager to develop key marketing messages

  • Work with partners and Marketing Manager to set and manage office business development and marketing budgets

  • Produce and edit copy for publications, including newsletters, online material, proposals etc.

  • Liaise with BD & Marketing colleagues in order to share knowledge and co-ordinate activity and best practices

  • Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to maintain the office web page and optimise SEO

  • Identify and attend networking events where necessary, manage delivery of hosted networking events

What the employer is looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a broad marketing and business development role

  • Autonomous approach, proactive, creative, knowledgeable

  • Experience in professional services would be an advantage but is not essential

  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal

  • Experience with ecommerce marketing

  • Confident in a stand-alone role within this regional office

Hours: Ideally Tuesday/ Wed/ Thursday 9-5.30pm.  Shorter days considered for a 4 day week
