Administrator | St Albans | £18k


We are currently recruiting for a bright, enthusiastic Administrator to join our client based in St Albans!

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, hardworking and professional team, responsible for providing administrative support and maximising the efficient running of the office.

This is an excellent opportunity to show your capabilities in a growing company - in time your role will take on more of a dedicated, industry specific admin position, which is augmented by study support.

Initially the role will comprise of a number of basic key tasks as this is the best way to understand the industry. As your understanding increases, so will the complexity of the tasks and this will, in time, have a positive influence on your salary.

You will be supporting senior staff within a varied administration role. You will have the opportunity to progress to up the ladder within 3months with the "tool kit training" which gives you a solid basis to continue further studying.

Key responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming calls, handling queries, enquiries, questions and informing of latest developments

  • Managing diaries

  • Writing and sending correspondence to clients, operating in a professional environment

  • Print and production of complex and extensive client meeting packs

  • Document formatting and review

  • All related administration, calling clients to discuss, amend and agree

  • Ad-hoc admin tasks when required

What the employer is looking for:

  • Educated to degree level in an essay related degree or high grade A-Levels in essay related subjects

  • Proactive with good organisational skills

  • Flexible with a 'can do' attitude

  • Polite, professional telephone manner

  • Uses initiative

  • Very good written English with good spelling and grammar

  • Confident computer skills including MS Office

This role is suited to recent graduates or high-achieving A-Level students looking to start an administrative career - eager to progress and contribute to an already successful team.

You must have excellent written communication skills, able to compose professional emails to senior level clients.
