Part Time Receptionist and Administrator | Radlett | £18k-£23k pro rata


We're recruiting for a Part Time Receptionist and Administrator to join a well-established, successful law firm, based in Radlett!

The company are looking for someone with good computer and communication skills with a solid administrative background. You will also be well presented with a personable nature as you will be based in the reception area!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for clients both face to face and over the phone

  • Maintenance of office petty cash including maintain float, paying expenses, monthly reconciliation and liaison with Accounts department

  • Date and register all incoming cheques and supply details to Accounts

  • Radlett and Borehamwood file retrieval and storage for archives

  • Maintenance of register for deeds

  • Process request for files and deed retrievals

  • Monitor stationery, catering and IT consumable levels and prepare orders as necessary

  • Act as a witness for Will signing etc.

  • Managing meeting room bookings

  • Ensuring that the client areas are maintained and well presented

  • Undertake overflow copy or audio typing provided from other secretaries in the office

  • Update database for engrossing documents

  • Administration associated with the opening and closing of files

  • Preparation of searches, SDLT, completion statements and invoices

  • Ensure smooth running of the post room including maintenance and topping up of the franking machine and purchase of postage stamps

  • All incoming mail to be sorted, dated, allocated and delivered to Partners

  • Sorting and franking of outgoing post

  • Organise special deliveries and couriers when required

What the employer is looking for:

  • Solid administration experience is essential

  • Previous secretarial experience would be desirable

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Organisation skills including the ability to prioritise work

  • Ability to use Initiative

  • Ability to cope with pressure and maintain a calm manner at all times

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good time keeping

  • Computer literacy in relevant software packages

  • Hours: 9am – 5:15 pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
