Legal Case Handler | Radlett | £17k-£23k


We're recruiting for a Legal Case Handler to join a well-established, successful law firm, based in Radlett! 

Our client, experts in their field, are a modern and innovative legal firm. They believe firmly in developing their staff and recognising their achievements. You will be joining a warm, friendly and social team environment!

The company are looking for someone with good computer and communication skills who is interested in the legal world. The successful candidate will be working within the residential property sector, supporting conveyancers with all client file requirements, and providing general administrative assistance to the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, processing and managing client files under the lawyer’s instructions, including legal research, drafting letters, preparing planning applications and appeal forms

  • Assisting conveyancers with documentation for all residential matters

  • Liaising with clients via telephone or email as and when required, including managing outgoing post - providing a courteous and efficient service at all times

  • Answering the telephone and meeting clients who may call into the office without an appointment, answering queries and taking messages as appropriate

  • Maintaining the conveyancer’s diary and making appointments, including organising internal and external meetings and booking meeting rooms and refreshments as required

  • General offices duties including maintaining a tidy and well-organised office environment, working as part of a team, assisting with secretarial and telephone cover as required

What the employer is looking for:

  • Ideally educated to degree level in law

  • Experience within a conveyancing team

  • Articulate with good written and verbal communication skills

  • Good problem-solving abilities

  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills – ideally 50 wpm minimum

  • Computer literate

  • Ability to multi-task, organise, prioritise and plan

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure

  • Confident with the ability to develop relationships with all levels of management

  • Ability to follow instructions given
