We're recruiting for an experienced Secretary to join a well-established, successful firm, based in central St Albans!

Our client, experts in their field, are a modern and innovative legal firm.
They believe firmly in developing their staff and recognising their achievements.

You will be joining a warm, friendly and social team environment. This role will provide secretarial and administrative support to a minimum of two partners and lawyers.

The company are looking for someone with a good secretarial background who is interested in the legal world. Ideally, you will come from professional services, but we will consider a strong secretarial background in any discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
•Dealing with clients over the phone or face to face on behalf of the Lawyers - answering any queries and making appropriate file notes
•Diary management, arranging appointments and internal meetings, organising refreshments when required
•Maintaining internal and client files, ensuring everything is up to date
•Undertake typing duties
•Liaison with the accounts department to ensure timely and accurate accounts administration, including receiving cheques, entering on file and passing to account
•Management of legal documents such as wills and deeds
•Providing administrative support, dealing with post and archiving

Person Specific:
•Strong secretarial background within fast and accurate keyboard skills - 50 wpm
•Good written English - grammar and spelling
•Excellent communicator
•Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
•Uses initiative with the ability to follow instructions
•Able to work under with pressure and maintain a calm manner at all times
•Attention to detail and accuracy

Salary: up to £25k

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5.30pm

Benefits: 23 days holiday (plus 2 additional for Christmas period), pension contribution, discretionary bonus
